Travel Information

The Army SPARK Program will provide transportation such as flights, train tickets, or mileage reimbursement for interns to travel to housing. Team Chitra personnel will book all plane and train tickets for your travel. You have the choice to drive to the internship location or have a ticket reserved for you either by train or plane.

Interns who drive will be reimbursed for mileage from their home or school to the internship location as well as for their return mileage at the conclusion of the program. If train or plane tickets are less than the cost of driving, then the reimbursement will be capped at the cost of the train or plane fare.

Interns who travel by train or plane will be provided tickets. No other travel expenses will be reimbursed once the ticket is purchased.

Note, you are responsible for daily travel to and from the lab. This means you may need to carpool with other interns, walk, take a taxi or Uber, or find another mode of transportation.
